GuildHE is pleased to host a roundtable discussion on free speech in higher education, featuring Arif Ahmed, Director for Freedom of Speech and Academic Freedom at the Office for Students (OfS).

This roundtable aims to support members in implementing the new freedom of speech duty commencing from 1 August 2025 and the recently published OfS Freedom of Speech guidance. Members will have the opportunity to gain further insights from Arif Ahmed on the guidance and duty and raise questions, concerns and challenges on the practicalities and policy implications of the new legislation directly with the policymaker.
